On October 4, 2026, ACL Biomedical Co., Ltd. hosted the “GalaFLEX™ Breast Revision Surgery Seminar” at Courtyard by Marriott Taipei Downtown. Centered on breast revision surgery, the seminar brought together Taiwanese plastic surgeons and international experts to share surgical techniques, clinical cases, and practical experience with GalaFLEX™.

The seminar attracted numerous physicians and healthcare professionals, with a full house throughout the event. Attendees actively engaged in the presentations, surgical video demonstrations, and clinical discussions.

Exploring the Science Behind GalaFLEX™

The seminar opened with a presentation by Amit Badhwar, PhD, Distinguished Fellow at BD, titled “The Science Behind GalaFLEX: Understanding P4HB Technology and Tissue Integration.”

The session introduced the scientific principles behind P4HB technology and its role in tissue integration, providing a foundation for the clinical discussions that followed.

Surgical Video Demonstration and Clinical Applications

A key highlight was the surgical video presentation by Dr. Chih-Cheng Hung, titled:

“Full Video Demonstration of Inframammary Bilateral Capsulectomy, Plane Conversion, and GalaFLEX Application for Capsular Contracture.”

The session demonstrated the surgical approach to capsular contracture, including bilateral capsulectomy, plane conversion, and GalaFLEX™ application.

The program also featured “Versatile Applications of GalaFLEX in Primary and Revision Aesthetic Breast Surgery,” presented by Dr. Hung, highlighting the use of GalaFLEX™ across different breast surgery scenarios.

Dr. Yen-Chou Chen shared practical insights in “Making Breast Surgery Easier: GalaFlex as Your Everyday Surgical Partner — Simple Technique for Primary Augmentation, Revision, and Mastopexy.”

The seminar concluded with Dr. Chih-Wei Wu presenting “Integrating GalaFLEX into Augmentation Mastopexy: Early Lessons Learned,” sharing early clinical experience with GalaFLEX™ in augmentation mastopexy.

The seminar was moderated by Dr. Sung-Yuan Chang, who facilitated discussions throughout the program and encouraged interaction between speakers and attending physicians.

Through scientific presentations, surgical video demonstrations, and Taiwanese clinical experience sharing, the seminar provided physicians with practical perspectives on the application of GalaFLEX™ in breast revision and aesthetic breast surgery.
